So what do you do when a Client says she is hoping for a photoshoot with some great Fall colors - and the week before your session has record winds...effectively and efficiently blowing all of that color out of the trees and onto the ground. You improvise. You find a big pile of leaves and let the kids throw them back up into the sky. And the perfect spot for that? Flag Pole Hill... A place that allowed these three to fully explore the playfulness they experience each day with each other.
It's that playfulness that the Client said she wanted to make sure we captured. That special interaction that she sees every day. Because she understands that that is truly who they are. Which for me - is the direct connection back to my Mom and all of the questions she used to ask complete strangers she met when I was growing up. Her medium to get to the root of who someone was was a steady stream of probing questions. Mine is the camera.
