These are unusual times that we are all having to currently navigate. But it is possible. All of the images you see here were captured during the pandemic and under the guidelines I list below.
One of the questions that I am starting to get more and more, as people look forward to the coming school year, is - is Patrick Dunn : Photography currently shooting and/or booking Senior Portrait Sessions? My experience with the class of 2020 is that there were definitely students and families that I know were caught off-guard by the pandemic, and through their own series of events, did not have the opportunity to capture the landmark event of graduation.
First let me say that if you are one of those families or students, and you are still interested in having a Senior Portrait Session, we are still catching up and shooting some of our Senior Clients this summer. And following that train of thought, we ARE currently booking and shooting new Senior Photo Sessions with a few adjustments.
As things are still changing daily in the DFW metroplex with rising COVID-19 infection numbers and changing restrictions - our Studio is following recommended safety protocols as closely as we can. Partly due to the fact that, as a Type 1 Diabetic, I personally am in the "High Risk" category if I should happen to contract COVID-19.
For these reasons all of our upcoming photography sessions for as long as the pandemic is present will adhere to the following protocols:
- All bookings will be outdoor sessions. In addition, we are looking to select locations that are not heavily trafficked in order to avoid any potential cross-contamination.
- Myself and Traci (my wife and assistant) will strive to maintain a minimum physical distance of 6 feet for the duration of the photoshoot.
- We will work to avoid any cross-contamination of props, clothing, etc. This means we will not personally be assisting with straightening of clothing or hair; transfer or adjustment of props, etc.
- We encourage Mom or a family member to be present at the photoshoot if they would like. But we are asking that additional attendees be limited to one person.
- Along those same lines, we are currently suspending any "Friend Shoot" Sessions.
Our top priority is to be as diligent as possible in protecting our Clients, our Clients' families and ourselves from potentially being a part of the pandemic.
My final thought on this topic is that with all of the uncertainty of what the future holds, I would recommend if you are interested in a Senior Session, booking early. We look forward to working with our Clients this year. We look forward to the great images we are going to capture. And we welcome the opportunity to discuss with you how we might take care of your Senior Portrait Session.
