Maya is literally one of our "in house" Studio Representatives. One of the benefits - or sacrifices (depending on your perspective I guess) of living in a house with a photographer. But hey, I will take it because I couldn't ask for a better ambassador for our studio or stepdaughter. She is currently a Sophomore at Lakehill Preparatory School where she is active in Volleyball, Basketball, Softball and Drama, among other things. And thanks to her dad, Kamal, she is a world traveler and probable future Texas A&M attendee. Currently, the interest that is gaining momentum is playing of "her" ukulele. A passion she has in common with her grandparents...
For this photoshoot we headed over to the Design District - a great location with all kinds of interesting backdrops. What we hadn't anticipated was that the weather was going to take a turn the night before and drop in an Arctic blast. Man was it cold!
