Our two most popular themes of Senior Sessions, recently, are Urban photoshoots and Nature settings. And gaining on the natural side of that coin - are shoots in sort of "untouched" nature settings. As opposed to a manicured park or landscaped area. My personal opinion on this is, that it might have to do with the fact that the images could be anywhere. But almost no one's first guess would be Dallas. It's just not the stereotypical image of what Dallas is. Sort of the antithesis of what the Urban photoshoots are about - which tend to be very much about Dallas' city setting.
Our Studio Representative and Lakehill Prep Senior, Kathryn wanted just such a natural setting for her first session with us. The lighting was perfect. And luckily for us as we rounded a corner, we came across these huge stands of yellow wildflowers. Part of every photoshoot is about improvising and working with the conditions and surroundings you have. No matter how much planning we may put in ahead of time, when we show up on location - something is going to happen that we could not have planned for. Which is one of the reasons we like shooting on location. We embrace that side of the process. It is part of what makes each session with our Seniors special and specific to just them.
